Occupational Health and Safety

How Tayga works in the awareness of workers to prevent accidents

“Work safety is a necessary and important activity for companies to function. Here at Tayga we take this issue seriously and with a commitment to preventing risks in the workplace and promoting the health and well-being of workers in a broader sense..
In that regard, we implement the PPRA programs in an integrated manner (Environmental Risk Prevention Program) and PCMSO (Occupational Health Medical Control Program).

Prevention of Work Accidents

PPRA - Environmental Risk Prevention Program

It consists of a series of actions aimed at maintaining the health and integrity of workers, designed to anticipate, to recognize, evaluate and control and/or neutralize, constantly and systematically, the dangers and risks existing in the work environment, in order to meet the requirements of Regulatory Standard No. 9 (NO-9) and developing improvement actions in these environments.

No brazil, labor legislation obliges all companies to implement the PPRA, in addition to maintaining a base document for recording these actions, that includes: hazard identification; annual planning with goal setting, priorities and schedule; strategy and methodology of action; registration form, maintenance and dissemination of data and frequency and form of evaluation of the development of the PPRA.

PCMSO - Occupational Health Medical Control Program

Agreed by Regulatory Standard No. 7 (NO-7), encompasses actions aimed at promoting health and preventing illnesses or health problems for workers. Includes initiatives aimed at protecting the health and quality of life of the worker – in coordination with the PPRA -, aiming to promote a safe and healthy work environment and processes, in addition to favoring improved productivity.

Mandatory occupational medical examinations are also planned for all workers: admission, Newspaper, back to work, change of role and dismissal. The occupational physician responsible for coordinating the program, monitors the fulfillment of actions, as well as monitors work accidents and occupational diseases, ensuring the custody of individual records and presenting the collective results in the PCMSO Annual Report.

An assessment of the epidemiological profile of workers is also recommended., considering demographic variables, the analysis of clinical examinations, laboratory and complementary, in addition to the risks they are exposed to in the workplace.
